The nursery is based close to the centre of the town and is easily accessible with a private car park. The nursery offers excellent use of space inside and out, and although not purpose built, the nursery has been modified and upgraded to a very high standard throughout with some very special touches and lends itself well for the current use. We also benefit from having an exciting nursery garden with a large covered sandpit, a water play area and our rustic tree house/den. The summer house is our outside classroom and is a well-used extension to the children's learning environment.

Our staff are well qualified. We offer training and apprenticeships here for our staff, who have qualifications ranging from NVQ levels 2,3, 4 and 5 up to degree level. Key staff members achieve their first aid qualifications and have also been trained in safe guarding and child protection.

We provide a safe and secure environment for children to grow and flourish to their full potential, cared for by a committed and loyal team of highly trained and qualified staff. We strive to ensure that children are at the heart of everything we do and work with parents as partners to help give all children the very best start in life.

Our approach places great value on children's ideas and desire to research their theories about the world around them. To do this they need lots of open ended resources, and high quality tools and materials to work with. In our nursery you will find spaces for light exploration with light boxes, over-head projectors and sensory toys to explore; clay, wood work, growing our own fruit and vegetables in our garden; painting, drawing and construction and lots of recycled materials amongst others to build and create. We have outside play times that use our exciting garden, the local park and we use National Trust grounds for countryside adventures. We believe children have hundreds of ways of expressing themselves, and providing an inspiring environment acts as their 'third teacher'
